<p>I did the optional essay (accepted to CAS). It was actually my favorite, most creative essay that I did for the application. I projected myself about 10 years into the future.</p>

<p>i see…my dilemma is I didn’t actually write a new essay for that prompt. I was thinking of using a different common app essay I wrote but I think they would know it was a recycled essay and was wondering if it could harm my application.</p>

<p>i was told that the optional essay is your opportunity to tell the admissions officers anything else about you that the rest of your application has not yet covered…if theres something unique(or seemingly so) about you, include it IN this essay</p>
