How many AP courses per year

I like to know how many AP courses can BS student manage?
Of course it depends on students. Some students can manage
more than others. I am asking the AP course load/year for
A students, B students, and C students. In BS, B grade is not
a bad grade. Usually average B is rageraded as Honor student
and average A- students are called High Honor students.
I like to know how many AP courses A- and B+ students can
manage per year at BS in Junior or Senior years.

Same question here. And do you have to spend a lot more time on AP class than on regular class?
(I’m intl so I don’t know much)

Yes, it requires more work. It is harder and hw is also more.

If i’m admitted to a boarding school I only plan to take 2 per year.

there is no real answer to that question
you take how many you think you can handle. I took 2 aps and a college level course this year. I’m taking 4 AP tests this year though. (Self study is a win) I generally grades between B+ and A btw.

How did you do self-study? What textbook did you use?
Do you go to boarding school?

I’m taking 3 AP’s next year (Eng Lang, Chinese, APUSH) and 4 senior year (Calc BC, Physics, Lit, Economics). I’m taking all honors courses right now, few kids take AP’s as underclassmen since we don’t typical public high school AP courses (world history, geography). Typically you should try to take as many AP’s as you can, even if the work is harder. A B grade in an AP/honors course always looks better than an A in a regular course.

Just to give a sample of what i’m doing just to give some people ideas:
sophomore year - (1)
AP world - (exam, no AP class) - used class textbook, which is used by many ap world courses and Baron’s review book
junior year - (3)
AP Macro - (exam, AP class) - text: Economics and Foundations 4th edition (or something like that ._.)
AP Micro - (exam, AP class) - same text as macro
AP Calc (exam, BC class)
I think i’m taking another one, but can’t think of it at the top of my head… AP Chem maybe?
senior year - (3)
AP Physics C - (exam, AP class)
AP Stat (maybe, see how my senior course load will be) (exam, AP class)
Also might be taking APush (yeah my schedules messed up, taking us in senior haha)

hope it helps :)

^^Where do you go to school? I think at many bs, you can’t really start taking ap’s until junior year because there are so many requirements. My son is taking two as a junior and 4 as a senior. (AP Spanish, AP USH, AP English Lit, AP Bio, AP Calc BC).

I do think that, for the most part, the top bs are quite rigorous and colleges don’t expect kids to take 10 or 12 ap’s. They understand the rigor and respect these schools immensely.

That is right. it is very difficult to take more than 10 APs in BS. However, public school students apparentlt take so mnay APs. In BS even 5-6 APs are not easy.
