Does anyone have any idea if earning the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma (CA) is impressive to colleges and if many applicants indicate that they are a receiver of it on their application? Do you think this will help me stand out among Stanford applicants? Thanks!

Here is how I see it: how many applicants can put “I can juggle 3 chainsaws while riding a unicycle”? Not many, but does that exclusivity have more appeal? Think about it for a while.

Haha, I know. But what I’m asking is approximately what percentage of applicants to Stanford have the Golden State Merit Diploma Seal on their transcript (only CA applicants)? It doesn’t need mentioning as the seal is on the transcript, I just want to know if it will help me stand out from a few other candidates.

Well my mentality is: hide nothing. Well, if you get a rejection letter, you will say to your self “only if I had included…”. Just do it, regret nothing.
