I have a lil sis (a junior) who will have 11 APs by the end of this school year. She plans to take 6 more as a senior. That’s a total of 17 APs by graduation.

She’s already taking 6 this year, and she’s doing fine. Her grades are great, her active participation/leadership in ECs are not lacking at all, and she always sleeps by 10. I’m just worried that colleges will see this and frown because they’ll think she has no life. Although her ECs are great and she’s not over-burdened by her classes, will taking too many APs (ahem, 17 total) seem too desperate?

I’m a senior this year, and honestly, APs aren’t too much work for me (or my sis), but will colleges think that 17 APs are too obsessive?

Responses would be great(:
Thanks!
