<p>Hey! I study in a school which is known in the district and around the country to be very academically hard and challenging. I am a junior now and haven’t taken any APs this year. However I took honors chem this year and AP Us History with honors bio last year. I plan on taking APEng Lit, AP Calculus and AP Chem next year. Do you think taking 3 APs next year can make up for taking none this year? Also, do u think it will be very challenging for me to do well in so many APs?</p>
<p>It’s all relative. Colleges look at how you challenged yourself relative to your peers and in the context of your own school. As for how challenging 3 APs will be - I’m taking 7 AP classes this year, and I will be next year as well. A lot of my classmates are doing the same, and we’re doing just fine.</p>
<p>Don’t take APs to make up for none junior year. Take APs because you are ready for them. </p>
<p>Those 3 APs sound reasonable. You don’t say which AP Calculus. AP Chem can be hard. AP EngLit can be as easy or hard as your teacher makes it. AP Calculus AB is no more difficult than honors precalc, and AP Calculus BC is about 1.5 times the material of Calculus AB.</p>
