How many courses per quarter?

I was planning on taking Math 21A, general chem, and intro to biology. I was thinking about taking 4, but I heard from someone that you need to pay extra to take more than 3 courses. Is this true?

This is not true at all. Most people take 4 classes per quarter, without any extra cost. The only time you have to pay based on the number of units you’re taking as a full-time student is during summer sessions.

There are two prices… those that take 12 or more units (called full time)… and those that take less (called part time). You pay accordingly… not by the unit.

What Venture said. However, cost aside taking Mat21a, chem2a, and bio2a with a ge your fall quarter of freshman year is really not recommended. Those math and science classes are going to consume you as is.

You should have a slightly lighter load fall quarter to meet new people and ease into it, just a suggestion.
