My high school requires us to have 230 credits in total to graduate. I am estimating that I will have 285 credits at the end of my senior year. Do you think that this is “enough”. I know that it is your grades in the courses that matter, but I would like to show admissions that I have an honest desire to learn.
Thanks!

Ask your GC if your course load would indicate that you are in the level of “Most rigorous”, “Somewhat rigorous”, or “Average” for your senior class.

If you are reaching for top schools, you will want to be viewed as very motivated.

I will have taken 6 APs and 4 honors courses by the end of my senior year. (My GC is pretty unreachable, if I email her now I’ll get a response in the summer…)

How does your number of APs compare to the top-ranked students in your class? What is the maximum hours anyone has completed? What colleges are you looking at?

Colleges look at the number of AP courses you took as compared to the number of AP courses available at your school. So if there are only 6 AP courses available at your school, and you took all of them, that’s great. But if there are 15 AP courses at your school, and you took 6, that’s not outstanding.

***The top-ranked students will probably take 11 APs.
I am looking at going to a UC college or NYU.

***My school offers 13 APs… does that mean I was “somewhat rigorous” or???
