Okay…I’ve seen people mention floor 5 of Hans Bethe…and I’m kind of confused…

This is the only Hans Bethe Pic I’ve seen: [Hans Bethe House](<a href=“http://hansbethehouse.cornell.edu/]Hans ”>http://hansbethehouse.cornell.edu/ )

It looks like only 4 floors. How is there a floor 5?

Also, is “Bethe - Main” the building pictured? The newer one?

Last…uhh…how is Bethe pronounced? I know it isn’t like “Beth”

Cornell is hilly, so the first floor is probably down at the slope.

Don’t know.

Beta.

Bethe house has two ends, North(Main) and South Bethe, the one in the picture is South bethe which does not have 1st floor. Any building which does not have a gothic structure is new!

This is the gothic one:

[Image:McFaddin Hall.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](<a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:McFaddin_Hall.jpg]Image:McFaddin ”>File:McFaddin Hall.jpg - Wikipedia )

My god, is Bethe really pronounced “beta”? I can’t believe I’ve been mispronouncing it the whole time…

Haha…I did too until someone corrected me :-)

Beta? Okay…lol thanks.

And so…I’m in North Bethe…and that’s South Bethe in the picture? So is there a picture of North anywhere?

Also…the stuff behind the picture of McFaddin - is that part of Cornell or a distant shopping center?

Distant shopping plaza…I think that’s where Wal Mart, Lowe’s and Bed, Bath and Beyond is.
