How many Honor Classes/AP look good

My situation is I took 2 honor classes freshman year and rest regular, 2 again sophmore year, plan on taking 2 honor classes with one AP junior year, and take 2 AP Senior Year. Those AP’s in Chem and Calculus. How does this look in strength of my schedule.

I would say that’s really all relative. At our school, that would not be considered to be very many. Typical “AP students” at our school take 6 total. Of course, there are lots of students who don’t take any, though the school started a challenge this year that everyone plan on taking at least 1 AP course. There are some from our school who will 10-12. Take what you can handle. Also, consider asking your counselor - he/she should know what’s typical for your school as well as make a recommendation based on you personally.

Exactly. My school required 3 APs just to graduate. I would definitely do as maureenk suggested and talk to your counselor. Ask them what kind of classes you should be taking as a prospective Pitt student. Also consider what you might like to study. If you want to do humanities, take humanities APs, sciences- sciences APs, engineering- Calc/physics/sciences APs.
