wow, screw that. I usually get 45 min - 2 hr a night if I dont have any papers, which i usually dont. Granted, Im not in AP lang or anything. The only night I have a lot is the day before a ap stat prob set is due, which takes about an hour. I have a week to do it though, so I could break it up.

I never study for tests, midterms or finals. We usually review in class for exams, plus, this year (senior) im exempt from most finals because i have a 90 in those classes. A 100 on a test vs. 97 or 98 just isnt worth it to me. I know I might sound pretentious, but I just absorb information like a sponge.

Now that I have a study hall, it’s close to an hour and a half each night. Mine is kind of difficult to measure though because my accounting teacher gives us a calendar that has all the homework assignments for the month, and I usually do them ahead a few days. That also means that there is never an end to my homework. Some nights I’ll get ambitious and spend 3 hours on my accounting, plus my other homework, but most nights I just do my regular hour and a half. It’s usually math, chemistry, and physics.

If I had 9 hours of homework, I think I’d be making some serious changes. Either that person works very slowly and inefficiently, or she is taking classes that are way out of her league. I seriously doubt that several teachers each sign more than an hour and a half of homework per night. If they do, does that really help them reinforce what they teach? Could the same thing be taught using only, say, 30 minutes of homework?

At my school, each AP teacher believes that the student is only taking that one AP class, because often it’s true, and it’s what the school encourages. Then the teacher would assign a paper or large assignment each night, or just very often. When you add all of the assignments together, you get about 2-4 large assignments a night and maybe a test or two the next day. The time can really add up.

0-.5 hours on weekdays
0-2 on weekends
sometimes slightly more if i need to catch on an online class. i basically do my ap stat, calc bc, physics c, and apush assignments in the morning or at lunch though so i dont have anything to do at home.
