How many Midwestern students at Emory?

I am considering Emory and I’m wondering how many students from the Midwest are there? What is the atmosphere on campus like? Thanks!

I’m applying too and I’m from the Midwest =) When I went on the campus tour/info session there were a ton of people from the Chicago area…& on the website it says about 11% of the student body is from the Midwest.

The majority of students are either from: A) South or B) Mid-Atlantic, which most notably includes Long Island and NYC.

Midwestern students exist, but as the stats suggest, you’ll meet about one person from the midwest for every nine people you meet from elsewhere. In my experience coming from the Midwest, I had difficulty meeting many other students from the Midwest. I never felt any sort of Midwestern influence on campus.

How about California?
