Simple question- How many more classes/semesters are for major than for minors. I am seriously considering a CS major + physics minor. If I graduate like this in 4 years, how much longer will it be to go for a physics major? Or If I try to graduate within 4 years, how much more courses will I most likely add. I know it varies from school to school, but is there a general estimate on how much more coursework is needed? Thanks!

It depends on the school and the subject of the major/minor. Check the school’s web site.

Majors are considerably more work than minors, often twice or more as many credits, but it depends on the college and the subject.

It depends on the college.

At my college, the difference between a physics major and a minor is two courses plus a thesis. Two courses wouldn’t be too bad, but the thesis could get really annoying if your heart isn’t into it.
