I know; odd asking this question on a college advice website, of all places. So, to maybe phrase it differently, were you ever at a point in your life where you didnt feel that college was the right choice for you? And no, fearful of not getting into the college of your dreams doesnt count; have you ever flat-out decided that college wasnt the way for you?

For the longest time (Im a HS senior), I didnt feel like college was the right choice for me (I had a career in mind, but it easily required a college degree it ties in). I didnt know anything about the whole college process anyway, and the counseling department at my school was absolutely horrid. Im sure I couldve found a ton of information about college admissions on the internet, but I didnt seem to care (there wasnt anyone in my family attended college as well).

So, as a CA resident, I started my UC application the weekend before it was due (that Wednesday? I cant remember). I picked four UCs at random, because I didnt know anything about any of them. I turned it in later that day, and never thought about it once until just before the decisions came in. To bring it to a close, Ive decided to go ahead to college when I was accepted. Im just wondering if any other students felt the same way, or at least, discovered college much later in their life.
