How many questions can I leave blank on the PSAT..?

Hi everyone, I’m new here so I don’t know how this whole thing works… anyway,
I took the PSAT this October 2012. I can not stop thinking about what I got! In the 2nd critical reading section I got the worst stomach ache and could not concentrate so I left a couple blank (like 5 or something). My vocabulary is also terrible so I left a couple of vocab questions blank because I heard it is better to leave them blank than to answer them wrong. For the math section I think I got like 1 or 2 wrong. The writing section is usually what I do best on. So I’ve got some questions:

 1. What do you think my possible PSAT score could be assuming that I left 10-15 blank/incorrect in total?
 2. Could I get more than a 200 (or at least a 190) ???

I really wanted to qualify for the scholarship, or at least be a semi-finalist, but I guess it’s not going to happen :(
Now I want to focus on getting 2250+ in my SAT’s to get into an Ivy League.
By the way I am a Junior in high school and if it helps, I’m taking challenging college courses (like calculus, microeconomics, and will soon be taking college physics and calculus 2) at an actual college (and getting college credits). I’m a straight A student, rarely getting A-'s. I rank #1 in my grade. How high are the chances for me to get into an Ivy League?? I have 80 something hours of community service, but I am planning to do more. I am also in orchestra club in my school.

Sorry if this is so long, but I will appreciate your answers sooooo much! :)

There is another thread somewhere concerning the curve for this year’s PSAT. Assuming you got everything correct save for the omits and the ones you think you got wrong, I’d say a ~60 in CR, ~70 in math, and we’ll assume the maximum 80 in WR. So if all goes well, ~210 is presumably the highest possible score you will receive.

I would think that if you are #1 in your grade, you have a decent shot at the Ivies. They’ll look critically at the rigor of your transcript and your performance in the classes. Community service doesn’t seem to be harped on as much as other things here on CC, but more is better, as long as you demonstrate genuine desire. If community service and orchestra club are your only EC’s, that could be a detriment, unless your school doesn’t offer many opportunities to be involved.

Thank you for your answer and for the link…I think CB posted the curve online and I saw it (hoping I get at least a 200!) I know I should have participated more in extra curriculars, but I will certainly try my best  thanks again!
