How many reach schools should I apply to??

I already have 2 safety schools that I am guaranteed that I will be admitted.
How many reach schools should i apply to? I was thinking about around 8. Is that too much?

Eight is a lot of REACH schools.
Choose at least a few that are more MATCH than reach.
Ten schools overall is a pretty good number (IMO most students should not need more than that).

Make it 4 reach and 4 match and you should be in good shape.
