<p>I am going to be more cautionary. If you want to stand out in a highly selective school with twice the applicants needed for a class, you must ace your SATIIs. There is no reason to take two at once unless you are super prepared. Definitely take the practice exams in the book if you want better than a 750, and try to spread out your spring testing dates so you can hyperfocus on one subject at a time, unless you are doubly prepared from doing a related AP.</p>

<p>I second Ohio mom re the necessity of reviewing a prep book for the SAT 2 test, especially in the sciences. The high school curriculum may not have covered all that will be covered on the test.</p>
<p>Mine took 3 and did fine, but told his little brother to break it up. Little brother took a science at the end of freshman year, and will take math and whatever else fall of junior year.</p>
<p>D took 3 at once and did fine. She did not prepare at all- it never even crossed her mind (before my CC days). She did very well on Lit, well on history and not as well on English (her strongest subject). She did fine in the college admission process and is s soph at Rice. S is going to take 3 in May. He is not one to spend a lot of time prepping- he just doesn’t have the time or interest. He will take both Maths (I know- this is what he has to do) and Lit. If one or more is a disaster, he will re-take in the fall. He might take physics in the fall after some review. His physics teacher (not honors, but a strong class) said NOT to take the physics SAT II without a lot of prep to cover areas they haven’t covered in class by early May.</p>
