How many schools should I apply to? I have a good range of schools with different acceptance rates. My school with the lowest rate is Emma Willard at 36% and my highest is Santa Catalina at 86%. In total, I am looking at 8 schools and am wondering if this is enough.
I’m no expert but to me that seems fine.

That’s plenty. If you’d be perfectly content with your safety and you absolutely know you’ll get in (a safety is a guaranteed admit and affordable without extra merit) then you could conceivably apply to just one. I did,

Yeah, I actually really like Catalina and it the most likely for me.
You’ve found the very best safety, one that competes for your final choice no matter what happens to the rest. My son agonized until late April years ago over a school that let in almost everyone and a one that let in less than 15%. He ended up at the more competitive one, but it was only because it was more sunny. They were a toss up. GOOD JOB! You’ve won the battle!!!
