Could anyone tell how many total student enroll in L&S department intend to do CS ? And how many are successfully tranfer to CS? I am just curious about the numbers. Thanks
https://career.berkeley.edu/Survey/2015Majors reports that 330 L&S CS students graduated in 2015, in addition to 374 EECS students.
Probably around 1200-1500 non-EECS majors take each of the CS prerequisite courses every year, although not necessarily all of them intend to major in CS.
About 40 % of those that intent to declare CS in L&S will actually will able to do so as per my discussion with the department advisor when I visited CAL last year ( this is after the GPA cap was raised to 3.3 from a 3.0)
