<p>I plan on doing research in Massachusetts in spring 2012, and was also given a spot to do research in spring 2013 in California. They’re not through my school, but instead through a federal agency and NSF.</p>
<p>Can I take two semesters off (or more, if i happen to get more research opportunities)? I would rather get research experience finished before graduation, especially for these two opportunities since they are only available for undergraduates, and they’re really prestigious. It will also help in grad school admissions.</p>
<p>*I would bump the two to the summer season if I could, but they aren’t offered then, one, and two, I use my summer for internships.</p>
