How many units = insanity?

for fall 2008, i plan on quiting my job and taking 23 units. the question is, am i an idiot?

Quarter units?

Depends on the classes. 23 units of math and science is probably a bad idea. 23 units of lighter classes is probably fine.

If you can’t handle it, than it’s insanity. Some are able to pull it off in a semester.

But, like mattn had mentioned “23 units of math and science is probably a bad idea.”

i did 21 one semester with only one math and no science…it wasn’t hard…but calc, chem, bio, etc would be killer together…a bunch of 3 unit courses should be fine…stay away from too many 5 unit ones

i hope you are talking about community college and not a UC.

I did that actually- quit my job and took 21 units.

Intro Bio w. lab - 4
Second Sem Bio - 3
the second tranferable english course- 3
Russian 4- 5
Precalculus + trig- 6

Taking the preq for BIO while taking BIO was hard, everything else was easy though.

lol the bio pre-req while taking bio, nice.

yes my CC uses semester system, and it’s really all humanities courses except for one chemlab that i never finished

atleast 6 of the units will be honors though… perhaps 9
