this this the northEASTERN thread. so i wouldnt know. i made my essay about 700

I think 500 is the standard. But please don’t confuse Northeastern and Northwestern. :)

Did you mean north E astern instead? I see that the “w” and the “e” are right next to each other on the keyboard so I’m just wondering if that’s a typo.

lol but it would have to be a type for northeestern. Definitely not a typo.

NU does not standardize essays. They do not specify the amount of words or the length of the essay, however, keep in mind that whatever one writes about has to be concise, clear and has to show ones writing and communication skills. Great diction and varied sentence structure are a must.
I received my acceptance notice to NU last Friday (extremely pumped!!) For the spring semester 010- My essay was completely ME and showed the person and student I am. Make sure you put yourself into it, and let them know who you are- no matter what you write it needs to be YOU. Writing a college essay needs to have a balance of the known college requirements with the innovative, authentic twists of the applicants writing skills.
I wrote my essay on the topic of my choice. About 10 people read it- some of them laugh out loud, some of them cried, and others completely pulled it apart stating that I could not submit such a piece to a college Its not appropriate and its not what they are looking for, you need to write THREE essays out of the original and select one you can really send. I edited but did not remodel it dramatically. I got in NU 20 days after applied.
