How meaningful are sports and SGA?

<p>I was elected sophomore rep and plan to join the swim team, but I was wondering, how meaningful are these EC’s?</p>

<p>Join a sport while maintaining a perfect or near-perfect GPA if you’re aiming for the top schools. I regret not joining a sport because I know I could’ve handled it.</p>

<p>So if I’ve been on swim team which is typically at least 21 hours a week, and I’ve maintained a 3.95 GPA, top schools will like that, no?</p>

<p>But swim team/GPA isn’t really hard to do, at least for my school. I mean, swim prac is at 5 in the morning.</p>
