How much aid can I expect??

<p>According to the college board, USC gives out $39,189 a year in fin aid. Does it depend on GPA? EC’s? SAT Score? </p>

<p>Stats:
3.52 UW GPA
4.22 Wgpa
3 AP classes this year (calc AB, Bio, USH)
hopefully 4 more next year (psychology, EngLit, Chem, Govmt)
2180 SAT (retaking for a hopeful 2300+)
Below avg EC’s
Class rank 29/602 (hate to be the guy at the end)
African-American male (as if that matters)</p>

<p>The amount of aid awarded by a given college to a given student varies based on all of the above, plus financial need, plus all sorts of other factors. Remember that just because the “average” is that much doesn’t mean you’ll be offered that much.</p>

<p>Also, that figure of “financial aid” includes federal student loans and work-study, so not all of that average is “free money.”</p>
