Sorry if this happens to be a stupid question (or if I worded this incorrectly), but how much money can the CSS Profile provide students?
Is there a limited set amount that a school can give to students? (For example, University A’s max amount of aid they can give to student via the CSS Profile is $20,000)
Or is there no specific limit?
First…the Profile doesn’t give any aid. It’s a financial aid application form. The colleges use the information on it to determine your eligibility for institutional need based aid. The colleges give the aid…not the Profile.
The amount of aid you receive is dependent on your financial situation…income and assets…and the financial aid awarding policies of the schools, which vary!
Also, you ar an international student. Some schools give limited need based aid to international students. You need to look at the policies for need based aid for international students at your colleges. Again…policies vary.
