How much are you stressing over these programs?

I applied to CMU’s pre college art and design program and Columbus College of Art and Design’s College PreView. I expect to hear from them within the next two weeks …

CMU’s is the better program, but it overlaps with a very important family vacation. I think I know what I’d do, but what are your thoughts?

I’m stressing about when the news will come and if it will be positive or negative … don’t you just love waiting? Any tips on how to cut down on the worrying?

I feel like I’m overly anxious, but hey :)

eat ice-cream?

Slather a thick layer of Nutella on a piece of bread. Add a few slices of banana and toast it. Yum. (Strawberries, blueberries, etc. are great additions as well!)
Or some cookies and milk! <3

But seriously, there’s not much you can do now that you’ve submitted your applications. Worrying is pointless! Just focus on the present and worry about it on the day decisions come out. :)

Also, how much does CMU overlap with your family vacation? Is this vacation absolutely vital? Maybe you could miss a few days of either your vacation or CMU (if allowed).

Yum Yum yum

I like these suggestions, lol

The family vacation is one week long. It overlaps with the first week of the CMU program.

Hmm. I have no idea how CMU compares to Columbus, but if you really feel that CMU is much better than Columbus, maybe you could ask CMU if you could skip the first week… (Probably not though since the first week is usually pretty important).

Family is really important, more important than any expensive summer program in my opinion, so I would put the family vacation as my top priority and try to be flexible with the summer programs.

I want to go to Columbus if I am accepted into the program solely because it doesn’t overlap. If it comes down to the CMU program vs. the vacation I don’t know which I’d choose … I agree with you, archaic, family is most important.

If you’re stressing them this much, bag them both and do something completely different. Don’t buy into the edu-machine.
