How much can I expect my PSAT score to go up?

I’m currently a junior in high school and have been enrolled in rigorous test prep classes for the PSAT, and now that it’s over, all I can do is sit… and wait… until we get our scores back on 12/13. But until then, I am trying to figure out what a reasonable score jump might be? As a sophomore, I scored a 1380 and a 208 on the NMSC selection index, but as of last year, you needed a 216 to make national merit. I’ve tried to ask my old test prep teacher what he thought but he was being totally vague and was like “you won’t know until December chill out” so that brings me here!! Any thoughts?

You won’t know until December chill out. Sorry! But its true. Some people improve a lot, some not at all.

The score you got was already decided once you finished as said above, there’s no reason to stress, what’s done is done. But however, you need to start SAT studying, and I personally find the SAT much easier than the PSAT and I took the PSAT 3 times. As for score improvement, it directly correlates with how much you studied.

It’s completely possible! Good luck!
