Hi, I just took the October 2015 SAT, and I did not do nearly as well as I had hoped. I scored a 1990(740 M/630 CR/620 W 10 Essay) I had been scoring between 2100 and 2250 on the blue book practice tests, and I came out of the test thinking I scored in a similar range that I had been doing on the practice tests. I am a pretty good test taker and was not nervous at all going into the test. I plan on taking the old SAT again in January, and is there any reason why I should not be aiming for 2280+? What were your first and last scores? Do you have any tips other than doing the Blue Book Practice Exams?
7th grade: 1760
11th grade: 2220

I got a 1990 too and I was scoring really high on the blue book 
I used some materials off ■■■■■■■■■■■■. They have released QAS tests. It gives me a sense of how the actual SAT is compared to the 5 non-administered SATs found in the blue book. They have scoring guides and stuff. I am also using the black book for strategy work since I’m taking the test in December again. Good luck!
