How much difference can improved SAT scores make for me?

I am a junior
Objective:
SAT I (breakdown): 1870- 620 Math 620 Writing 630 Reading
Taking Math Lvl 2 and biology sub tests
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.96
UC GPA: 4.44? Not sure
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): 19/463 as of last year (10th grade)
AP (place score in parenthesis): Biology (3) World (4) Physics B (2, not sending haha) Taking US, Lang, Chinese, Calc AB (4/5’s on all most likely)
Senior Year Course Load: AP’s + Orchestra
Subjective:
Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): 3(soon 4) years of Orchestra (principal player), District honor orchestra 3x, Solo & Ensemble, Tennis, NHS, WAML, Piano, 2 summer classes at community college (100% and 99% grade in them), played violin for retirement homes
Job/Work Experience: Intern at a wafer manufacturing company. Applying for summer interships.
Volunteer/Community service: Key Club. Red Cross. Volunteer at hospital. Chinese camp.
Recommendations: From APUSH and AP Lang teachers. Both said very good things about me with no “buts”.

Some of the colleges I am considering for biology(pre-med):

UW Honors (WA resident)
Seattle U
WSU
Purdue
UCSD
SUNY Stony Brook (Legacy)
U of R
Boston College
NYU

These colleges I know I have little chance with my SAT score.
But IF I get 2100+ on my June SAT, what would change? (I didn’t study for my first time, but this time I have gone through the reviews of the blue book and started other review books + prac tests)

UCLA
UCB
John Hopkins
Cornell
USC
Rice
WUSTL

Thanks. I know it’s pointless to be hypothetical about a score, but I just need a push

Yeah 2100 would make it a lot easier for you to get into those schools… Have you taken the ACT? Some people do wayyyy better on the ACT. A boost of 200 or 300 on your SAT is really achievable if you study. Or just take adderall lol

Obviously, adding 300 points to your SAT will open an entirely different range of schools to you.

UW Honors SAT (25/75%) was 1950-2200 and ACT (25/75%) was 30-33 for the class that enrolled in Fall 2014.

Have you given yourself a practice ACT? Your GPA is higher than your scores would predict. Obviously each provides different information. A mismatch can mean many things. Your school may have great grade inflation, in which case you’d see many students with weighted GPAs above 4.0 and low scores on APs and other tests that are developed outside the protective arms of your school. If your school does not have great grade inflation, then you may be a better candidate for the ACTs where academic achievement and understanding is more important then test taking and gaming skills.

@lostaccount So should I study over the summer for ACT? I am also planning on studying for Oct. Bio M (took AP Bio freshman year) and Math lvl 2.

Definitely retake it. There is a huge disparity between your GPA and your SAT right now- close the gap.
