how much do ap scores matter anyway?

<p>for college admissions, how much do ap scores matter? i’ve heard that it’s not much; only for placement and not admission. but then why is everyone obsessing over it so much?</p>

<p>People are obsessing over it because they then can save some money, skip out of intro classes and take the classes they want to earlier. </p>

<p>Plus it’s like it completely doesn’t matter for colleges. They still LOOK at it.</p>

<p>Probably because you could potentially test out of a year or more of college.</p>

<p>This is CC, probably 70% of all high school students in the nation never took any AP.</p>

<p>AP plays no roll (very little) in admission, simply don’t report if it is bad.</p>

<p>only worth ODing if you can get AP National scholar before senior year and/or you love learning at a potentially steep price.</p>
