How much do frosh grades really matter?

Do your freshman grades mean that much, I mean it was three years before u apply

not really, as long as you improved over 3 years, you should have no problem.

Actually it can be better if frosh grades are bad, because a some schools will give you credit for demonstrating significant improvement. Why? I don’t know, but they do. It’s not at the top of the list with rank, GPA, and your EC’s, but it counts.

(This come from University of California admissions, though the improvement is limited to the “recent”)

Not that doing well all 4 years isn’t better, so all 10 of you freshies considering college now better not slack off.
