Wondering and things

Depends on how good the SATs are, how bad the GPA is, and what schools you want to apply to. The whole package (good SATS and good grades) is best. No one can answer a question as generic as this one; there is no way to quantify the answer. Give a specific unweighted GPA and SAT range (assuming you have a SAT score or at least a PSAT score), with the breakdown of SAT components, and some schools you are interested in. Then you will get some educated guesses from those reading your posts.

I’m probably going to improve on my SAT scores (the ones posted are from a practice test and my test is still a few months away).

Iowa State
U of Minnesota Twin Cities
Salisbury
Elon

Your SAT scores are between the 50%-75% mark for U of M, Iowa State, and Elon (Math is above 75%). I am not familiar with Salisbury. I would say your odds are good of getting into all of those, especially if you improve your SAT score. None are particularly selective. U of MN - accepts 52%, Iowa State - accepts 87%, and Elon - accepts 42%.
