How much do SAT IIs really affect admissions?

<p>I’m starting to get worried because I took Chemistry as an SAT II subject test, but I have no interest in going into the sciences… I did well on the test, but will that count against me if I’m applying to major in economics, or to a general liberal arts program?</p>

<p>For the most part (with the notable exceptions of some public schools and engineering programs), there need not be a correspondence between the Subject Tests and declared major.</p>
