I was set to switch to executive until I saw that the $10 monthly credit requires a $150 purchase. I am not going to reach $150+ in online purchases often enough to be worthwhile, and even if I do $10/$150 = 6.7% discount is not enough to make up for the increased sticker price when shopping online.
I am more impressed with the new June 2025 coupon book, which gives $15 off $50+ (30% discount) on Sameday with code SUMMERSAMEDAY25 . It works June 18-July 20. Hopefully business center will also have a 30% discount, as Iād like to get some business center specific items. Amazon currently has a 10% discount on Instacart gift cards, which can be stacked with above 30% discount. The 10% discount also effectively cancels out the 9.4% increased sticker price with Sameday, making shopping online similarly priced to shopping in store.

Most of our savings from Sam/Costco comes from gas. My husband and I do grocery shopping usually together, enjoy the variety of going to different storesā¦ āretiree outingsā. I suppose we do save a bit when we eat our $1.50 hot dog lunches instead of someplace else. We do like the prepared meals. They are price compared to frozen dinners, cheaper though than eating out.
We have 2 Costcos that are about a 20 minute drive from each other. The one closer to us is only truly crowded on weekends, but not if you get there early. Those with executive memberships can get in an hour early starting June 30th!
Iām guessing that the early slot for executive members will be just as crowded. About 47% of members are executive (per AI). Thatās a lot of members who will be trying to beat the crowds in the first hour.
