How much does an invitation to Honors increase your chance for Merit?

I know that Honors invitation does not (in any way) guarantee Merit $ - but curious if anyone knows how likely you are to receive some merit IF you were invited to Honors. S is IS and received Honors invite (Engineering)

It certainly increases your chances. More honors college invitees get merit than the general student population. However there are often are not as many merit awards as there are honors students so some of that group aren’t going to get merit money.

Does anyone who’s not an honors student ever get merit $? If not, I’m going to search for jobs on-campus.

There are plenty of people not in honors who get money. Departments and college/schools have addition $ than what admissions offers–but you may have to apply. Visit your dept/college website or email someone within the major and ask.
