How much does being a foster care youth contribute to admission decision?

<p>I really don’t expect to get into UCSC or UCD with such an impacted major (Psych), and a mediocre gpa. Hoping that I’ll be cut some slack for my rough past possibly :/</p>

<p>Anybody know if foster care placement is a significant factor in decision?</p>

<p>Transfer students, especially at UCSC and UCD, are pretty much solely judged on GPA and completion of major preparation. Neither of those school read the personal statement so unfortunately your situation probably won’t be considered.</p>
