I wish to transfer in 2 years and I have a choice between two CCs near my area.
Cerritos College is very near my house.
Fullerton College is a little bit further.
Fullerton apparently has a higher transfer rate than Cerritos which may be because of additional resources that they may have. They may have more classes and students available, but at the same time, the classes fill up quickly and I might not get what I want. Also, more students transferring may also mean that it could be a more competitive school.
I just want to know if I should even care about any of this or if I should just go to Cerritos because of its proximity.

@popsuker I am a student at Fullerton College. Firstly, classes can be a little scarce (but I believe that is a problem regardless of school). This said, I personally believe Fullerton College have some of the better resources but honestly it all depends on what you do. The school doesn’t go after you to get to the transfer center or counselors, you have to be a self-starter in that respect. I learned the hard way and am now finishing up here but I’m getting old. Also, you need to look into the degree you want and see if the school offers an ADT for your degree which will guarantee your admission into a CSU (not specified). Fullerton College’s local CSU is, naturally, CSUF. Not Sure about Cerritos. I would go to both campuses and see what you think. FullColl has a lot of new buildings and tech that make it nice with a staff that, when utilized properly, is amazing.

I don’t think that a university transcript evaluator is going to ascribe any significance to attending Fullerton vs. Cerritos CCs (or both). It’s not like you are asking them to compare Harvard to the University of Bridgeport (<a href=“The Worst College President Speaks!”>http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2008/10/worst-college-president-simmer-down-children-php/).
