<p>How much of a role does a coach’s push play in Columbia admissions? I’m a slight push for regular admissions into an Ivy League School, but how much would the Coach be able to help? I’m a high level recruit and have gone on a visit.</p>
<p>Is the coach going to get a likely letter for you? If so, then once you have the likely letter it is pretty much a done deal. If no likely letter, there is no way to tell how much help a coach can give.</p>
<p>You need to be your own advocate here and stay in close touch to what varying coaches say. It’s a give and take for them as well as you. You’re courting one another. Some coaches already know their A-list recruits while keeping the B-list ones interested. However, they only have a limited amount of pull. </p>
