<p>I really like Duke (so does more than half of my school) and it is very competitive. Just to break down our chances, here are some questions for early decision.<br>
- Does race matter much? Is is preffered to be white, hispanic, asian, black?
- Since it is engineering, do girls have a notably better chance?
- Does it matter what you are planning on studying in engineering?
- How much does being a legacy play into your acceptance? I know people who have sibilings currently attending the school and also parents. How much more of an advantage do they have.</p>
