How much does SAT2 counts?

How much do all those subject tests count? Are they as important as the regular SAT test? What happens if a person gets low score on those?(590 and below). And how many subject tests do you need to take?

They are there to supplement your SAT score. You need to generally take 3 with exceptions (UC’s need 2).

For example, if you get a 680 on your Math SAT I, if you get an 800 on Math SAT II, it will definitely show adcoms that you are proficient or relatively underestimated by the SAT I Math section.

Depends on the school how many you have to take. Harvard requieres 3 (try to get above 760 on those) and other selective schools requiere 2.

Check with your college on that, and also have a look at the grades of previous applicants.

To my knowledge, subject tests count ALOT!

Like loli said that it shows admission that you can do better. But what if in SAT i got 750 in math and on subject test i got 600-630?What im basically asking is-will those subject scores count a lot on your application?

Generally speaking, GPA comes first. SAT second then SAT II. As long as your SAT II and SAT I are close enough, it should not be a problem. Yet since both tests actually test you on different things, it’s open-ended. Your scores could be interpreted in multiple ways. Better play it safe and up the Subject test score. A 600-630 on a Math II is exceptionally low.

Could you also explain what math 1 and math 2 are?If math 2 is based on math b-then i cant take it because i got transfered into new geometry system

Math 2 and Math 1 test essentially cover a majority of the same material. The difference is that Math 2 is a bit tougher since some of its questions are trickier (think SAT I problems more or less with up to precalc material). For this reason, Math I IS easier but it has a tight curve. Expect <800 if you get -1 or -2 (again, think SAT I Math Curve). The Math II is much easier in terms of its curve with -6 or -7 an 800 sometimes or 6-7 blank for an 800.

Both cover up to pre-calc more or less.

any books suggestions where i can prepare for math 2 chemistry and i dont know…global i guess
