How much does senior year affect College Apps?

As I go into Junior year I have realized I might be looking at College Apps the wrong way timing-wise.
I always thought that your AP classes taken and scores etc by the end of senior year counted for the App, but is it only the first 3 years of HS? And, if so, since many people say freshman year isn’t considered, are they only judging off of Soph/Jr years? By the end of Jr year I will have 7 AP tests taken, but 13 by the end of senior - which is a big difference. I would love to know what I should expect. Thanks!

Colleges will want your planned / in progress senior year courses, which will be considered for rigor. Any changes to those courses must be reported to colleges applied to.

Some also want grade reports from fall semester.

Admission offers will be conditional on earning sufficiently high grades in the planned / in progress courses.
