How much does the name of undergrad school matter?

Hello, I am a current undergrad at an Ivy League school hoping to enroll in medical school in two years. I am not looking to go to a top-name medical school, but more likely a state school near my home. My question is, my GPA is fair, but not as high as I would like it to be. It is currently 3.3 and I think I can raise it a bit. Will this GPA still be competitive in medical school admissions considering I am coming from a top 5 undergraduate program?

Thank you.

It will depend on your MCAT for sure. It isn’t a great GPA, but if you are shooting for your state schools then it wouldn’t necessarily keep you out of the race. Take the MCAT and then re ask this question.
