How much does undergraduate matter?

Do discipline or profession specific schools care?</p>

<p>To answer your last question, certain schools will give you a better education than others for specific subjects because they have been able to bring in some of the best thinkers/researchers in that area to teach at their school. </p>

<p>I’m not so sure about your other questions, but I do know that people from all different undergraduate schools go to grad school, so there isn’t any rule that if you go to X undergrad, you’ll never get into Y grad.</p>

<p>but a good undergrad school does help you a lot into getting into good grad schools… it gives you a leg up so to speak.</p>
