I tried to be brief but that’s about it. I spend a lot of time in all of my activities but I didn’t want to but the hours involved and such. I hope my essays push me over the top. I am writing about my best friend, who’s also diabetic!

Any ideas guys?
Don’t be afraid to be honest.

…this should be in the WHAT ARE MY CHANCES section. Just maybe.

Oh sorry. I didn’t know there was one.

Ok…hmm, guess ill be the first person to actually chance you.
Well, you have a good shot for all of the schools (except Harvard. But even then you have a reasonable chance) Wash U is a really good school. So if you’re really considering it, (im applying there too by the way) I only live 10 min away from it and I spend a lot of time on campus, so i could answer any questions you might have.

Check the common data sets. For meaningful merit you will need to have all stats near the top of the pool, at least above their 75th percentile numbers.

Are you the only val of your class? Are you retaking SATs?

Whoops, saw the rank. Harvard would be VERY tough.

My school is kind of ridiculous. In order to be valedictorian, you have to 1-be in band and 2-never take any sports. If I took my GPA to any other school in my Urban district I would be valedictorian by a .2 margin. Ridiculous. But to answer your question no, I won’t be retaking the SAT, its too late for me.

Any ideas on that 75% range?

Rough idea, at Harvard it’s about 1580 (it may even be 1600 last year) and I’m guessing 1550 at WAshU. Top of class for both.
