I want to major in psychology – Penn State is such a great school for psych undergrads to learn’s

If this looks familiar…Ialso posted something similar in CMU’s and Cornells college discussion

Thanks in advance for your help !

It all depends on the amount of funds the university has next year. They have some academic stuff that PSU gives out on the university level. Most colleges (in your case Lib Arts) will wait till you enter your major (jr year) before they start shellin out money for you.

You GPA and ECs look good enough to apply to the Schreyer Honors College. If accepted (very competitive) you are guaranteed at least the $3,500/year scholarship.

Probably nothing freshman year. Depending on how well you do in your department and if you apply you may have a chance at something sophomore year.

Hmm…looks like I’ll be researching the Schreyer Honors College. Sounds like I wont be getting any non-need based aid until later in the year then?

Also, this is random but does it help to have a brother who went to PSU?

You may get non-need aid, I recieved several from the university my freshmen year. PSU has several grants and scholarships on the university level. Its all a matter of divying it out to the applicant pool every year.
