how much free time will i have?

i am going to be a premed major at loyola u. at chicago. I was wondering if classes are just gonna swamp me or if i’ll actually have time to do things other than study. will i have time for World of Warcraft or counter-strike???

get out more. who wants to waste their life playing games?

I’m going to UCLA as a bio or physiology major. would I have time to do $2500 of workstudy, do research, and be in the marching band? Marching band occupies all of Saturday when there’s football games, and like 3 hours on tuesday and friday afternoons. Plus, I would receive an A in it to boost my GPA. but I’m guessing that I probably shouldn’t join band, right?

If you want to go ahead. It is your decision. Do what you like to do and what you have a passion for, you’ll be happy that way. Don’t have other people make decisions for you, your in college your an adult, think for yourself for once in your life.

“get out more. who wants to waste their life playing games?”
clearly you have never played World of Warcraft! it’s not just a game! it’s the ultimate game, and CS is alright, but gets boring soon. I hope i get time to play my games too, big fan of blizzard (Warcraft III TFT and Starcraft, no money for WoW, play it at friend’s house)

ahah… the only RPG game I play is Ragnarok… only got to lvl 64 Monk

Sorry about that but I’m just saying that if you’re worried about having time to play games . . . you probably won’t. My friend was an admin for CS and he played it at least 2 hours a day (usually much more). It was not only repetitive to hang out with him but annoying too. Sorry in that dorm that I live in everybody does nothing but play games, especially my roommate (who has time now b/c he is switching from CS to philosophy). So not only was I not a game fan before I went to college, now I really hate them. If there is not much to your life besides playing games, then I just think that gamers lose touch with reality too easily. Sorry if I offended you.

And believe me I used to be a gaming addict . . . when I was a kid. Gaming isn’t real and is just not important to me now. I only was “addicted” to one game last semester and I only played it for two days less than an hour each time: Burnout 3. I don’t know why but that game just got me haha.

Ah, you people don’t know the half of gaming addiction. I played Everquest for about 4 years starting a month after it was originally released. I still did normal stuff like hang out with friends (my real life friends that played EQ mostly), and played in a few bands, but 90% of my time was spent playing my fictional character. My advice: once you are in college, steer clear of any and all MMORPGs.
