How much can one hope to improve solely on taking the 10 practice tests in the BB and carefully reading and analyzing the explanations to the questions one got wrong? I took my very first sat practice test (first experience w/ sat for that matter) and got a 2150 (650CR, 800 M, 700 W [only MC scored]) btw. My goal is to get a 2300+ by June.

Not that much, doing practice tests will only get you used to the format of the test. You missed around 8-14 problems on the SAT to get a 2150, and you’ll have to determine why you didn’t get them right. Was it careless mistake? Was it because you didn’t know a vocabulary word? Or was it because you forgot a math concept? You have to learn the subjects that you don’t know on the SAT, not just do practice tests.
