MatSci is my intended major in college (for now), and I have the option of taking CAD at my high school, but I would have to drop one of my current classes. Should I take the class? It’s only a semester, and the other semester I would probably be a TA. Or, I could stick with my AP class that I have now, which would probably look better to colleges…

thanks everyone :)

Taking career driven classes in high school is great and can boost your transcript, but not to the exclusion of a solid base of classes, with as many APs as are available and/or reasonable for you.

CAD can be really useful, however it isn’t worth spending a semester as a TA, and dropping an AP class. Your high school schedule should be one that will make you most competitive to be accepted to your top choice college. You’ll pick up CAD in school if you need to.
