How much is the gap between Major-specific schools and the school itself?

NYU and Stern?
UT-Austin and McCombs?</p>

<p>The only relative weakness or “gap” at USC is in the liberal arts/social sciences- English, History. USC has always been known for the strength of it’s “pre-professional” schools- Marshall, Vertibi, etc.</p>

What I was asking about was how significant of a difference is it to apply to Stern as opposed to CAS/Undeclared, etc?</p>
