how much longer???

I applied rolling on January 22.
I realize that’s pretty late…so I’m sorry if my question is annoying to some of you.

But, any idea of when I will hear?
I just want to get into college already!

{ } that much longer

oh wow, that was really helpful!
thanks!

don’t mention it

All indications point to April.

Unless you have shoe-in stats, you’re probably gonna hear around April.

Chachacha, Michigan was obviously not a priority for you. Unless you apply from an area that does not produce many applicants, I would not expect a final decision before late March, perhaps even early April.

what are shoe-in stats for Michigan??

I would say close to a 4.0 unweighed GPA taking a number of challenging subjects and an SAT over 2200/ACT over 33 makes Michigan a virtual safety, but I have seen cases where such students were rejected.

Also, with Michigan now part of the common application, its admission standards are about to change drastically. Historically, Michigan accepted 50% of applicants. This year, Michigan will accept 40%.

Should the trend continue, and should Michigan experience similar trends as other universities that have joined the Common Application in recent years, the University will accept 33% in 2012, 29% in 2013 and 25% in 2014.
