<p>I’ve been researching universities in Texas including UT, A&M, Rice, and SMU and wanted to see how far being a National Merit Scholar can get in terms of scholarship money at SMU.</p>
<p>Here is some of my app:</p>
<p>Of South Asian origin
2330 SAT
700+ on 3 SAT subject tests (hopefully)
Atleast 4s on multiple AP tests (again, hopefully)
National Merit Scholar
Currently top 6%ish at very competitive public high school (in TX)
Selected extracurriculars
Some leadership roles
Great essays</p>
<p>I would probably be applying to the Cox School of Business.</p>
<p>I know SMU says that National Merit Scholars get atleast half of tuition plus 2K, but how much would I get realistically? I was hoping almost full scholarship but that might be too hopeful?</p>
